Lou Ann's Biscuits & Burgers

Behind the Flavor

Georgia’s Biggest Biscuits

Georgia’s Biggest Biscuits

For over 30 years, Lou Ann’s has been a beloved gem in the heart of Dublin, Georgia. Founded by Lou Ann Fordham, a passionate cook with a love for Southern traditions, the restaurant quickly became known for its warm hospitality and iconic “cathead” buttermilk biscuits, named for their oversized, fluffy perfection. Lou Ann’s dedication to her craft and her community built a loyal following, making the restaurant a staple for breakfast and Southern comfort food lovers alike.

As a lifelong resident of Dublin, Lou Ann infused her dishes with authenticity, love, and a connection to her roots. From hearty grits and broccoli casserole to pear salad and fried catfish, every plate served at Lou Ann’s carried the flavors of the South and the warmth of home. Lou Ann’s unwavering commitment to quality earned the restaurant its reputation as a must-visit destination for locals and travelers alike.

In 2024, Lou Ann passed the torch to Dionn and Gary Lanton, award-winning restaurateurs and owners of Holy Smokes BBQ. Known for their culinary excellence and community-driven approach, the Lantons are no strangers to bringing people together over exceptional food. With over a decade of experience in competition BBQ and numerous accolades—including “Best Ribs in Georgia” from the Food Network—Dionn and Gary bring a fresh perspective while honoring Lou Ann’s legacy.

The Lantons have exciting plans to preserve what makes Lou Ann’s special while introducing new flavors and expanding the restaurant’s offerings. Their goal is simple: to continue serving the Dublin community with the same heart and soul that Lou Ann poured into every biscuit and every dish.

At Lou Ann’s, we’re proud to celebrate tradition while embracing the future.
